Why this recipe?

While you are on your quest for fitness, you must have already given up on a lot of things that you have loved for a really long time. These things can be potato chips, fries and a lot of junk that you have been eating already. The ideal case scenario is to stay away as long as possible from these non-healthy snacks, that are loaded with salts, refined oils, artificial flavours and everything else that does more harm than good to your body. While you are on this path to build good health and a strong mind that can resist the temptation of grabbing a bite of unhealthy snacks, you will need something that is tastier and healthier than all the snacks that you have been eating so far. This is one of the low calorie snacks recipes that you can count on.

Here is the list of ingredients:

Roasted seeds mix

  1. Sunflower Seeds (1/3 Cups)
  2. Pumpkin seeds (1/3 Cups)
  3. Chia seeds (1/3 Cups)
  4. Flaxseeds (1 Cups)
  5. Sesame seeds (1/3 Cups)

Dry Seasonings

  1. 1/2 tsp Oregano
  2. 1 tsp Garlic Powder,
  3. 1/2 tsp Chilli Flakes

Rock Salt as per taste (For authentic and natural Rock Salt, you can check HaveRaw’s Pink Himalayan rock salt)

Water – 300 ml

Step 1: Mix all the seeds in a bowl with the seasoning, add water and mix it well.

Step 2: Cover the mixture and refrigerate it for 4-5 hours. The chia will absorb the water and turn jelly-like.

Step 3: Spread the mixture thinly on a baking sheet and bake until crisp. (Preheat the oven for 10 minutes it 120 degrees and bake for 1 hour 30 minutes)

You can cut the crackers in your desired shapes and sizes. You can have them raw, but wait, that’s not all. There is also a recipe for making a dip that was shared in the post. Here it is.

Recipe: Hung curd + Crushed Garlic + Salt + Pepper + Chili Flakes.
